I’ve been loving Spellbinders lately – have you? I was gifted another of their recent Christmas in July release products so I wanted to create a card showcasing it. This card features the Color Mix Joy Registration Betterpress Plates and the Flurry of Snowflakes 3D Embossing Folder (one of my absolute favorites! I adore snowflakes). I think this design turned out really cute and happy!

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS
- Using the Flurry of Snowflakes 3D Embossing Folder, emboss an A2 panel of white cardstock. I use the Platinum 6 and the Universal Plate System to make it super easy to figure out the sandwich for all my folders.
- Using the Betterpress system and the registration guide that comes with the Color Mix Joy Registration Betterpress Plates, press each letter in a different color on white cardstock. I used green-blue inks from Catherine Pooler – Uptown, Aquatini, and Minted.
- Fussy cut the word ‘joy’ out. And add gel pen details and adhere with foam tape to the embossed panel.
- Press the sub-sentiments on another sheet of white cardstock using Catherine Pooler Samba ink. Trim them into strips. Adhere with foam tape.
- Die cut the accessories using the Christmas Cocktails Die Set – the gift, Santa hat, and holly. I inked the white die cut using Catherine Pooler inks in Samba, Coral Cabana, and Do-Si-Do. This color palette is complementary, just like traditional red and green, but slightly off the traditional colors, giving it a poppy, modern feel.
- For more of a festive touch, I also added Rock Candy glitter in various places because a holiday card always needs a little shine! I added glue and then sprinkled the glitter on top. Because the inks are water reactive and the glue contains water, the glitter did pick up some of the color. But I wasn’t too precious about it.
- Finally, I embellished the card with coral pink sequins.

Hope you enjoyed this. You could mass produce this card in a variety of colors and knock out your holiday card list in no time! As always, I appreciate you stopping by!
Happy crafting,
Tiffany
